Padauk Pistol Grip and M-Lok Panels

This wooden pistol grip and these M-Lok panels are made out of a lustrous deep red Padauk wood from Africa. Padauk has a Janka hardness rating of 1970 (pine is around 400 and walnut is around 1,000 for reference). All of our grips are hand sanded down to 400 grit for a smooth touch to the hand, and applied hard wax oil, with a 1200 grit scotch pad, for protection and finish. The hard wax oil is absorbed into the wood instead of a finish that is built on layers on the outside of the wood. This allows you to actually feel the wood grain. The rich reds and oranges of Padauk go well with anodized black found on most AR-15s and personally I enjoy it with desert tan too. (Firearm not included, sorry…)
